Energy Medicine for your Heart

Uncategorized

In Eastern medicine there’s a concept that women have two hearts: the heart and the womb. Indeed, there’s a profound link between these two organs (and pain between them from wounding). Here’s some medicine for your heart/womb connection:

1) Take a moment to write down whatever hurt you carry in your heart. You may be writing about a situation or just to your own heart, but acknowledge the hurt. Pain often needs witnessing before we can set it down, but too often we ignore the pain and it becomes a burden we carry. Take a moment to bear witness to your heart ache.

2) Symbolically set this pain down. Take the paper you’ve written on, and tear it up/burn it (safely in a container) or bury it in the earth. After doing this, exhale and imagine energy leaving from your heart as a release of the energetic burden.

3) Light a candle. Imagine the light as repairing your heart’s energy field. See the light as a healing salve where you were hurting. And then ponder what you’d like to hold instead in this newly freed energy space. Feel the shift in your center from holding a burden of pain, to holding the love for your own self.

4) Now visualize a line of energy connecting your heart & womb. Let your heart center and your creative center realign. That’s a mantra to carry in your heart/womb space.

Love what you create,
create what you love.
And love yourself as a creation.

That’s a mantra to carry in your heart/womb space.
